Description

Warm gold, hand engraved, with a little sparkle under your fingers.

Some instruments live in the case. This one you'll want out on show. Gold lacquer over brass, hand engravings across the bell and body, and abalone-style shell inlays on the key touches that catch the light as you play.

Why you'll love it

  • Hand engraved. Decorative engravings on the bell and body.
  • Abalone-style key touches. Shell inlays on the main keys, as you can see in the photos.
  • Blue steel needle springs and leather pads. The springs and pads listed by the maker for this model.
  • The full range to high F#. The standard alto range, with the high F# key.

Good to know

  • A case and reeds aren't listed in the box, so you may want to add them.
  • New to the saxophone? Softer reeds (strength 1.5 or 2) make your first notes much easier than the harder reeds many kits come with.
  • Before you play, check under the keys for any small cork or foam wedges. They protect the pads in transit and must come out, or some notes won't sound.

Real brass, built to be played

Every acoustic Airvana saxophone has a brass body, the metal behind a warm, full sound, with hand engraving on selected models.

And we stand behind it for 3 years: if a fault appears with normal use, we repair it, replace it or refund you. You also have 30 days to change your mind.

Made to be played, not kept in a cupboard

The first week decides whether a saxophone gets played. Our free guide takes you from opening the case to your first note in about ten minutes, with the small things that make it easy, like starting on a soft reed.

Questions before you buy

Do I need anything else to play?

Everything that comes with it is listed on this page, item by item. If reeds aren't in the list, add a few soft ones (strength 1.5 or 2) to your order.

Can I send it back?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to change your mind and return it for a full refund. Our returns policy explains how.

What does the warranty cover?

3 years from delivery against faults in materials and workmanship. If something goes wrong with normal use, we repair it, replace it or refund you. Normal wear (reeds, pads and corks) and accidental damage are not covered.

When will it arrive?

Delivery to the UK is free, and your estimated delivery date is shown just above the Add to basket button.

Which reed should I start with?

A soft one: strength 1.5 or 2. Hard reeds are the main reason beginners think they can't play.

Will the neighbours hear me?

An acoustic saxophone is loud, so practise at sensible hours. For late evenings, our electric saxophones play silently through headphones.
